We are now taking bookings for annual racking inspections throughout 2027. If your last expert inspection was in the first half of 2026, now is a good time to reserve the same month for next year, so the interval between inspections stays within 12 months.

HSE guidance in HSG76 recommends an expert inspection of pallet racking at least every 12 months, carried out by a technically competent person, alongside your own regular recorded visual checks. Spring and early summer fill quickly, because many sites like to inspect before the autumn peak.

What the inspection includes.

• A full inspection of your racking against the SEMA code of practice and EN 15635.
• A written report listing every defect by location, with its red, amber or green risk category and the action required.
• A check that load notices are present and match the configuration on the floor.
• Repairs quoted from the same visit, so amber findings can be closed out within the timescale given.

Inspections are carried out by a SEMA approved rack inspector, and the visit is planned around your operation. We can work aisle by aisle so that picking and put-away continue, and we tell you before the visit which areas need to be accessible.

Sites that book a regular month each year find it easier to plan around stock levels and peak periods, and their records show an unbroken history, which is what an insurer or HSE inspector will look for.
