Cookie policy.
Which cookies and storage items this website uses, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your choice at any time.

In short.
Pallet Racking Services Wales uses as little as possible. One necessary storage item remembers your cookie choice. Analytics only runs if you accept it, the map on the contact page only loads if you accept functional cookies, and we do not currently use any marketing or advertising cookies.
Nothing optional is set until you make a choice in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time with the cookie settings button on this page or in the footer.
What cookies and storage are.
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, do the same job without being sent to the server with every request. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside UK GDPR) treats them the same way: anything that is not strictly necessary needs your consent first. In this policy, cookies means both.
The four categories.
Necessary
Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off, because without them we could not respect the choice you made.
Analytics and performance
Tell us which pages are read, which answer the question and which do not, and how fast pages load for real visitors. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Off until you accept.
Functional and preferences
Load features provided by others, currently the Google Maps embed on the contact page. Until you accept, the map is replaced by a placeholder and a link to open the location in Google Maps. Off until you accept.
Marketing and advertising
Would be used for advertising and retargeting. We do not currently use any. The category exists so that if that ever changes, nothing is set without your consent, and this policy will be updated first.
Every cookie and storage item.
| Name | Category | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| prsw-cookie-choice (local storage) | Necessary | This website | Stores your cookie choice for each category, the date you chose and the policy version. Never sent to a server. | Until you change your choice or clear your browser storage. You are asked again if this policy changes materially. |
| Vercel Web Analytics | Analytics and performance | Vercel Inc. | Counts page views and referrers in aggregate. It does not set cookies or identify you across sites, but it still only runs after you consent. | No cookie set. Aggregated data held by Vercel. |
| Vercel Speed Insights | Analytics and performance | Vercel Inc. | Measures page load performance (Core Web Vitals) on real visits, so we can find slow pages. Only runs after you consent. | No cookie set. Aggregated data held by Vercel. |
| Google Maps embed (for example NID, AEC, SOCS) | Functional and preferences | Displays the map on the contact page. Google may set cookies to remember preferences, prevent abuse and measure use of the map. Only loads after you consent. | Set by Google, typically up to 13 months. See Google's cookie policy. | |
| None | Marketing and advertising | None | We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. | Not applicable |

Vercel Web Analytics is designed to work without cookies. We still treat it as optional and ask for your consent first, because it involves processing information about your visit. Google's own cookie names and lifetimes can change; Google publishes the current list in its cookie policy (opens in a new tab).
Changing your settings.
Use the cookie settings button below, or the cookie settings link in the footer of any page, to reopen the banner and switch categories on or off. Your new choice applies straight away.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you clear local storage, the banner will ask for your choice again on your next visit.
