Free site survey and pallet racking design. We measure before we mention a product.

The survey starts with what the operation needs to achieve: capacity, pick speed, safer workflow, headroom for growth. Only then does the space get assessed. No charge, no obligation, and the drawings are yours either way.

What happens on the day.

Warehouse design is mostly measuring. Five things happen in this order, and none of them involves a brochure. Bring whoever knows where the operation loses time, usually the shift lead rather than the manager.

  1. Step 1

Walk the facility and the yard

Current usage, stock flow, traffic routes, and where the operation actually loses time.

  2. Step 2

    Measure accurately

Clear height, column grid, door positions, floor condition, sprinkler clearance.

  3. Step 3

    Find the opportunities

Flow, density and layout changes that do not need a bigger building.

  4. Step 4

    Flag the constraints

Anything that will affect the plan later: floor flatness, fleet, lease, approvals.

  5. Step 5

    Explore the options

Routes aligned to the goals you stated, not to a product we want to sell.

Comparing systems before the visit? The racking system comparison sets out rotation, selectivity and density for all nine, and the warehouse space calculator gives a first capacity estimate.

What you receive afterwards.

Six deliverables, stated explicitly so there is nothing to chase. Typically issued within 5 to 10 working days of the visit, sooner for a single building with a simple layout.

Measured drawing and CAD layout

Your building, drawn accurately, with the proposed warehouse racking layout over it.

Capacity figure

Pallet positions before and after, so the gain is a number and not an adjective.

Priced quotation

Itemised, including protection, decking and installation.

Phased implementation route

How the work splits into stages, so capacity can arrive in step with budget or lease events.

Alternative layouts

More than one racking layout, each with its own capacity figure, so they compare honestly.

Semi-automated options

Where the stock profile justifies it, a pallet shuttle option priced alongside static racking.

No charge, no obligation. The measured drawing, the CAD layout and the capacity figure are yours whether or not you place an order, and you are free to take them to anyone else.

What we need to quote you.

If you would rather price something before booking a visit, these are the measurements a quotation is built from. Send what you have. Nothing here is gated behind a form.

  • Building dimensions

Length, width and clear height under the lowest obstruction.

  • Pallet detail

Dimensions, weight, overhang and whether pallets are sound.

  • Truck list

Type, mast, lift height and whether guidance is fitted.

  • Stock profile

SKU count and pallets per SKU. This decides the system.

  • Rotation rule

FIFO, LIFO or either, and whether it is a regulatory requirement.

  • Constraints

Columns, doors, sprinklers, floor condition, temperature.

The full sheet, with a measurement diagram and a printable PDF, is on what we need to quote you.

Send the measurements

Four fields. We reply with either a price band or the two questions that stop us giving one.

No charge, no obligation.

Before you book.

Yes. No charge and no obligation. You keep the measured drawing, the CAD layout and the capacity figure whether or not you place an order.

Most single buildings take 60 to 90 minutes on site. Larger or multi-temperature sites take half a day. Drawings and a priced quotation typically follow within 5 to 10 working days.

A floor plan if one exists, pallet dimensions and weights, your truck list including mast type and lift height, SKU count and pallets per SKU, and any constraints: sprinkler clearance, doors, columns, lease end dates.

Alternatives are standard, including phased implementation, alternative racking layouts and semi-automated options, each with its own capacity figure so they compare honestly. One quotation with no comparison is not a recommendation, it is a preference.

Yes. Installation into live warehouses is phased, with out of hours and weekend working where that is least disruptive. Risk assessments and method statements are provided, and construction phase duty holder roles are agreed before anyone attends.

No. The measured drawing and CAD layout form part of the survey and are yours to keep.

Four things, in this order: the system (set by pallets per SKU and the rotation rule), the aisle width (set by your truck class, typically 1.6 to 4.2 metres), the beam levels (set by clear height under the lowest obstruction and sprinkler clearance), and the bay layout around columns, doors and traffic routes. The capacity figure follows from those four decisions.

We can give a price band from building dimensions, clear height and pallet count, and the form on this page exists for that. A layout we would install from needs measuring, because floor condition, column positions and sprinkler heads move the answer by more than a desk estimate can allow for.
