Building or changing the warehouse.
Everything that changes how much the building holds or how it flows. Every one of these starts with the free site survey, because a layout has to be measured before it can be priced.
Keeping it safe once it is built.
Racking is work equipment under PUWER 1998, and the operator must keep it in safe condition. These services are how that duty is met in practice, and how it is evidenced. The safety and protection overview explains the duties.
Inspect, repair, protect, train, re-inspect.
Each stage produces the next. Repeated damage in the same location is a symptom, and the cause is usually layout, systematic overloading or truck and aisle geometry.
- Step 1InspectAnnual expert inspection, plus the recorded visual checks your appointed person runs.
- Step 2RepairDamaged components replaced like for like across brands, never straightened.
- Step 3ProtectRack protection inside, Armco barriers in the yard, fitted where the strikes actually happen.
- Step 4TrainAwareness course so the people who see damage first can classify and report it.
- Step 5Re-inspectAnnual date set at handover, so nothing lapses quietly.
From first call to first inspection.
The same six stages on every installation project. The last one is the first stage of the compliance loop, so the racking is never handed over without a next date.
- Step 1
Survey
We measure the building and learn how the operation runs before mentioning a product.
- Step 2
Design
Layout, system selection and a capacity figure, drawn in CAD against your trucks and stock.
- Step 3
Quote
An itemised price covering protection, decking and installation, with alternative routes.
- Step 4
Install
SEIRS registered teams, phased around a live operation with RAMS issued before attendance.
- Step 5
Sign-off
Load notices, layout drawings and handover documentation, walked through on site.
- Step 6
Inspect
Your first annual inspection date is set at handover so nothing lapses quietly.
Who does the work.
A Neath based contractor working across Wales and the border counties. The accreditations below are the ones facilities and procurement teams ask about before admitting a contractor to a live site.
Health and safety competence independently assessed and audited annually through SafeContractor, which is what most procurement teams ask for before admitting a contractor.
SEIRS registered installers
Installation teams hold current registration under the Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme, so the people building the racking are trained to the standard the design assumes.
SEMA codes of practice
Design, installation and inspection follow SEMA guidance, including the codes covering the use, maintenance and inspection of storage equipment.
Trading since 2009
More than 35 years of combined industry experience across the three directors, with annual rack inspections carried out for customers as a statutory requirement.
Questions about our services.
No. We install new racking, reconfigure existing systems, relocate racking between buildings, and install customer-owned or second-hand racking after a condition check, identification and load rating.
A measured drawing of the building, a CAD layout, a capacity figure in pallet positions, and a priced quotation with alternative routes including phasing. There is no charge and no obligation.
Yes. The annual expert inspection produces the graded report, and the repair quotation and protection recommendations are prepared from the same visit. The next inspection date is set at the same time.
All of Wales and the border counties, from the base in Neath. Most work is across South and West Wales, including Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Llanelli and Merthyr Tydfil.
Installation teams are SEIRS registered under the Storage Equipment Installers Registration Scheme and work to SEMA codes of practice. The business is SafeContractor approved and has been trading since 2009.
Typically 4 to 8 weeks from order for standard racking, and 12 to 16 weeks for a pallet shuttle system. Installation into live warehouses is phased, with out of hours working where needed.
